Born in Winfield, Sharon Taylor has lived here most of her life. A retired nurse educator, she has only recently had the time to explore her creative side. Her grandmother painted china, and was an early influence in her artistic interest.
Today, art keeps Taylor involved in life. It provides relaxation for her, as well as challenges. “Every person is multi-dimensional,” Taylor said. “I am more than my role as nurse educator or grandmother. Art fulfills a need of mine to be creative.”
Taylor credits lessons with Cleo Graves as launching her into art. Charlotte Vavra influenced her interest in watercolor and photography with personal encouragement. Martha Fitzwater continues to be a model of creativity for Taylor.
“Art rounds out our community and makes it whole. It gives our hometown its heart and soul,” Taylor said.
She and her husband live in Winfield and delight in visits from their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.For information on gallery membership, guest artist exhibits, or to purchase artwork, please fill out the contact form below.
